OC Restaurant Week

Throughout southern CA there is a golden ticket known as Restaurant week.  If you are a foodie like me you look forward to this throughout the year.  Local restaurants offer GREAT deals on your favorite items.  Generally it is a 3-4 course meal (Sometimes with 1 beverage) for $20-$30.  It is a way to go out to the more expensive restaurants you have been dying to try!!!  Check out the website for local deals and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Its a Beach Day

On a day like today I don't want to tell you to go and spend your money on an attraction, or to stimulate your senses with a new location.  Today I am going to tell you to stay close to home (No matter where that is) Or in other words just get OUTSIDE!!!

I am lucky enough to live 2 blocks from the beach and today is a gorgeous day!  The sun is out, it is February 23rd and it is going to be 70 degrees today.  What could be better!

Anytime I am feeling bad about the amount of money I spend to live here or the traffic I am sitting in... I remember days like today.  I remember walking outside and thinking how beautiful this place is and how lucky I am to live here.  Whether you are by a beach or up in the mountains... Out in the dessert or deep in the city... you have something to appreciate.  Go outside and enjoy your surroundings! There is a reason you live there.

A Fork in the Road

So officially have 2 months from today until I turn

 30 years old. 

I must say the last 29 years has been a whirlwind.  It has not always been easy.  Things have not always gone to plan, but it has been an adventure.  What more can you ask for.  I have a fantastic family, wonderful friends, and a boyfriend that just gets me.  I am in a career that I not only love, but also allows me to be free and the sky is the limit!! I can only hope that the next 30 years will be as fun and exciting as the last 30.  My sister (Check out her blog here) is big on listing and goals.  I am taking her advice and coming up with a 30 in 30 list.  I want it to reflect what I want to accomplish and what I want to become.  This is a huge turning point in my life and I am ready to approach it at full speed!!!

Its a LOVE Thing

Happy LOVE day

No matter if you are young or old, love is the most exhilerating, beautiful, fantastic, and exciting thing anyone can experience.  There is no better feeling than giving 100% of yourself to another person and recieving that love back in return.  It is that feeling that makes you get up in the morning and that feeling that keeps you awake at night.  Without love, life would not feel worth living. That can be down right scary.

However it is ALWAYS worth it!!!

Whether you love a friend, a family member or a significant other or just really love yourself... Make today the day you share those feelings.  It is important to feel loved and to share love, So go out and shout it from the roof tops!
